This information is based on Official Recommendation No. 2/2001 adopted on 17 May 2001 by the European Union Authorities belonging to the Body officially constituted in accordance with Section 29 of Regulation No. 95/46/EC.
The recommendation identifies specific requirements to be adopted when gathering online data and in particular outlines the procedures, times and nature of information that title-holders of handled nature must supply every user when the latter logs on to their websites whatever the purposes of the user’s visit.

These data are used solely for the purpose of gleaning anonymous statistical information on the site’s use and for checking and controlling their proper functioning; in any case they are immediately deleted after processing. These data could be used to define responsibility in the hypothetical event of ITC-related crimes committed that damage the site: except for this possibility, web contact data do not currently persist longer than seven days.

This is necessary to responding to requests as well as the inclusion of possible further data in the electronic message. No use is made of cookies to transmit information of a private or personal nature; no persistent cookies of any type used nor are any systems to trace the online behaviour of users.
